This course is aimed at persons or groups of people who may be required to carry out a planned operation, or react to an emergency situation, where the creation and implementation of a contingency plan is required to alleviate identified potential or real consequences.

This one day course presents the following to participants:

Water Loss Management, Equipment Use and Demonstration

This one day course presents the following to participants:

  • Explore the various methods of leak detection
  • Understand the characteristics of a leak and the different types of leaks
  • Gain exposure to the different types of leak detection equipment
  • Participate in a field leak detection equipment demonstration

By the end of this one day course you will refresh and refine your leak detection skills and have a better understanding of the techniques related to water loss management.

This one day course presents the following to participants:

  • Approaches to commissioning water mains
  • Why and how to swab, flush and disinfect water mains
  • Pressure testing of mains including PVC, concrete, pressure pipe and ductile iron

  • Sampling
  • Hydraulic integrity of mains
